Sander van Doorn – Get Enough (Original Mix)
Always a fine purveyor of big yet melodic club moments, Sander van Doorn has proven particularly adept at reinventing himself to fit the modern market’s ever expanding remits. Bouncing back off the heels of the highly acclaimed “Gold Skies” alongside Martin Garrix & DVBBS, Doorn Recording’s next instalment comes with head turning undertones from the festival primed label head himself. Ditching the schematics of the standard big room anthem for heavy and mechanically tuned techno influences, “Get Enough” proves a weird yet wonderful spin on the head honcho’s typical studio get-up. It’s a fine attempt at reminding the festival dwelling masses that amid the storm of paint-by-numbers production routes, digression can be a sweet touch to counter an undeniable saturation of sound across the board. With word of an impending collaboration alongside Oliver Heldens we can expect more weird and wonderful movements from his studio output, but Doorn’s impending solo venture proves that there is life yet in the Dutch heavyweight where 2014 is concerned.
