Over 100 arrested at HARD Summer over the weekend

Over the weekend at the Whittier Narrows Recreation Area just outside of Los Angeles, HARD held their flagship summer event and one of the most anticipated West Coast festivals of the season. With a daunting lineup that included Tiësto, Axwell, Jack U, and Disclosure among a long list of electronic music’s biggest stars, the festival attracted almost 40,000 people. While the vast majority of those attendees were well-behaved, the ones making headlines were not: More than 100 people were arrested over the course of the two days. According to the L.A Country Sheriff Department, seven of the sixty-seven total arrests on Saturday were felonies, while thirty-eight of the forty-seven arrests on Sunday were for alcohol-related reasons. Attempted forced entry and fake IDs were cited as misdemeanors, while narcotics were implied in the felony arrests.
