Amsterdam Dance Event unveils second segment of lineup for 2014 event
It’s common knowledge that come every late March, dance music industry leaders flock to Miami for WMC, a haven of some of the year’s most talked about performances and an always unforgettable Ultra Music Festival. Across the pond, Europe is gearing up to celebrate in their own way with Amsterdam Dance Event. What began in 1996 has blossomed into an event of monstrous size: Held across five days, ADE is an electronic music conference hosted by the Amsterdam Dance Foundation and enlists the help of a seemingly infinite list of DJs for performances and showcases.
ADE has revealed the second wave of a staggering 2,000 total performers, and includes a more diverse array of talents than those often seen on US festival listings. Deep Dish, Hardwell, Afrojack, Nicky Romero, John Digweed, Pleasurekraft, Eats Everything, and Hot Since 82 are among the eclectic first lineup release, alongside Maya Jane Coles, Nicole Moudaber, Maceo Plex, Green Velvet, The Magician, Chase & Status, Loco Dice, Dubfire, Maetrik, and many, many more.
If ADE has sparked your interest but you crave a taste of something different in electronic, keep an eye out on their continuously rolling announcements. Of the festival’s many events includes a Hard Dance Event with various hardstyle labels and their respective artists, an Eton Messy and Klear showcase for those who prefer the sounds of future and garage house, and dozens more. A full listing of the events by day can be found here.
ADE takes place from October 15th to 19th in Amsterdam.
