Above & Beyond showcase club mix and Grum remix of ‘Blue Sky Action’
It’s no secret: Above & Beyond make some of the most emotional dance music out there. The British trio’s penchant for uplifting vocals and soaring melodies is practically unrivaled. A couple weeks back, Tony, Jono and Paavo released their latest single “Blue Sky Action” off their impending 2015 album. Compared to previous originals “Sticky Fingers” and “Hello,” the track could be construed as more radio-friendly. As tradition with their more pop-centric releases, however, Above & Beyond have crafted a heftier club mix to go along with the radio edit.
In addition to the trance-leaning club rendition, Above & Beyond have invited Grum for official remix duties. The Leeds progressive house producer puts a polished spin on “Blue Sky Action,” bringing the energy down and the intrigue up. With some truly inventive sound design and creative vocal processing, Grum brings A&B’s latest single into the deeper realms of dance while maintaining the magic of the original.
