Britain’s Bestival heading for North America
The UK’s celebrated Bestival is now just two weekends away, and its 10 year anniversary comes with a special announcement: The Isle of Wight will soon be just one of the locations hosting the experience. Bestival founder, BBC host and record label owner Rob Da Bank recently spoke to The Telegraph about what was next for his Sunday Best portfolio, and revealed that deals were about to be signed to expand the festival to North America and through Europe. Other than commenting that the deal was “a long time coming,” he revealed few specifics about when the non-UK versions would launch, where they would launch, or with who they would partner. While these details are still to come, we can only assume that Bestival will keep its quirk as it travels across the Atlantic, bringing its community-centered, environmentally-friendly and musically diverse personality to each and every future outpost.
