Just barely recovered from nearly being washed out by torrential downpour, Burning Man’s annual week has taken yet another tragic turn in today’s news. The Nevada desert festival has released news of one attendee’s passing. While details remain sparse as the woman’s family is notified, Burning Man also published an official statement that explains, “A woman died at Burning Man early Thursday morning after reportedly falling under a bus carrying participants.”

At the time of publication, Burning Man has not indicated any sign of closing and will continue on until its scheduled end date on September 1st. The Pershing County Office plans to reveal more information after the woman’s family is contacted.
