Claude VonStroke explores West Coast dreaming in ‘Califuture’ video
There’s a reason they call it the Golden State.
California and its beaches, blondes and biz have been celebrated in song essentially since it earned statehood, and the latest to add his tribute is none other than dirtybird boss Claude VonStroke. His “CaliFuture” track with pal Barry Drift has had a month to marinate with all those who have migrated to the Best Coast and has now unveiled its music video to further elaborate on the theme. Following snow cone salesman Drift (potentially outed as SF photographer and music video director Merkley???) on an adventure down PC1, the video explores his desire to leave the ice chips behind for a job at dirtybird – raw egg eating, wizardry, and hot dog dancing ensue. To see if Drift hits the big time amidst the madness, just hit play and enter the weird world of the West.
