Cyril Hahn readies his ‘Voices’ EP

Cyril Hahn first grabbed the attention of many house music fans with his remix of Destiny’s Child’s “Say My Name.” It was an absolutely stunning take on the track, and in the years since that remix he’s established himself as a clever and versatile producer. From dreamier tracks like his remix of Jeremih’s “773 Love” to his crunchy spin on HAIM’s “Don’t Save Me,” Hahn’s proven himself more than capable of taking on any number of styles.

He shows his poppier side on his second EP, Voices. The first track revealed was “Breaking,” a slower but still spirited track powered by confident vocal work from label0mate Javeon. The next song to pop up was “Slow,” a hypnotizing tune featuring Canada’s Rochelle Jordan. It’s a remarkable track with loads of crossover appeal; Rochelle has a compelling voice, reminiscent at times of some of Mariah Carey’s softer moments. Last to surface was “Open.” Though it’s the subtlest and quietest of the three, “Open” is still wholly invigorating. As a whole, Voices showcases Cyril Hahn’s versatility while still flowing seamlessly. Each track could stand alone as a single, but they work even better in the context of an EP.

Voices will be available soon via PMR Records.
