Daft Punk to be featured in French electronic film, ‘Eden’
Eden, an upcoming film directed by Mia Hansen-Love and co-written by Sven Hansen-Love, is a drama narrating the prominence of the French electronic music scene during the 1990s. The “largely autobiographical” story, to be premiered next month at the Toronto International Film Festival, will center around main character Paul and his rise and fall as a DJ. Eden will also highlight French duo Daft Punk, who played an indispensable role in electronic music’s growth.
Arnaud Azoulay and Vincent Lacoste will take on the roles of Guy-Manuel de Homem-Christo and Thomas Bangalter, who personally approved of the film’s script and the use of three of their songs in its soundtrack. “Without their consent, the project could not succeed,” Love commented.
