Goldroom – Till Sunrise (Original Mix)

Goldroom made a name for himself with energetic remixes of hits like Niki & The Dove’s “Mother Protect” and Charli XCX’s “You (Ha Ha Ha),” but he’s proven to be far more than a remix specialist. Originals like “Only You Can Show Me,” “Embrace,” and “Adalita” are impressive not only because they’re wonderful songs, but also because of how different they can be while still carrying that undeniable Goldroom shimmer.

Goldroom’s latest track, “Till Sunrise,” is yet another shining example of his versatility. The song’s opening moments are reminiscent of one of indie pop’s seminal tracks: The Postal Service’s “Such Great Heights.” But while “Such Great Heights” is a fast-paced dance song, “Till Sunrise” is slow, tender, calming disco. Distant percussion, soft synths, and hazy vocal work from Mammals soothe the listener while still fully gripping his or her attention. And though “Till Sunrise” is unique within his catalog, it’s still very clearly Goldroom.
