Mightyfools – Shaolin (Original Mix)
The eye of Calvin Harris has spotted Mightyfools this week. The Fly Eye, that is. Embarking on production duties for the superstar’s imprint, Mightyfools cross a frenetic beat ironically in the name of a Buddhist monastery. The duo are no strangers to the spotlight, having previously released material with the likes of Afrojack and Hardwell, but find a unique space to flaunt their work this time around. “Shaolin” is just what one would expect from Harris’s imprint, intricately layered electro house that maximizes sonic illustration. At the core, Mightyfools pluck their hearts out at deep, plunging strings and begin blurring lines with synths as vocal loops of a hip-hop MC make sense of the resulting lazer party.
