Cazzette – Sleepless ft. The High (A-Trak Remix)
“Sleepless” was a huge turning point for At Night favorites Cazzette, opting for a smooth and melodic departure from their legacy as Sweden’s original ‘dubhouse’ connoisseurs. In matching remix duties with the original’s versatile approach, electronic dance music’s favorite turntablist A-Trak steps up to bat for an official remix of the successful ICONS original this month. Opting for chugging drops and scattered melodic elements over his signature scratch-orientated wizardry, The High’s original vocal work remains respectfully intact throughout, using a simple yet effective apex to give a heavier dimension to Cazzette’s u-turn offering. There is little indication of A-Trak shifting his quality production stance if this cut is anything to go by, signaling a notably strategic signing from the budding ICONS collective here in 2014.
