David Tort & Roland Clark – The Pleasure Dome (Original Mix)
Zerothree Music is pulling an eclectic bag of releases for its inaugural year as a label, but all pointing to a genuine focus on quality cuts scaling the big room sound. Off the heels of of Dave Silcox’s stunning progressive offering “Everything,” Spanish heavyweight David Tort steps in to match old school spirit with new age energy alongside Roland Clark for his debut strike for the label.
Back with a pinch of the acid sound that his original work has continued to savour, “The Pleasure Dome” shows where the big room sound can match nostalgic elements with an overriding sense of modern coherence. Roland Clarke brings big atmosphere to the equation, but the clash of percussive stamina and natural energy is where this original really hits the spot. Zerothree may be flaunting an audacious variety of material in its elementary stages, but David Tort’s latest cut is a signing of truly promising caliber.
