Q-Dance issues drug warning for upcoming Defqon 1 weekend

Electric Zoo attempted to address the subject in their attention-grabbing but timid PSA video while most major music festivals continue to tiptoe precariously around the conversation about drug use amongst fans. But Sydney, Australia, in preparation for the return of Q-Dance‘s Defqon 1 Music Festival this upcoming weekend, has instead approached the issue directly out of concern for their fans.

The NSW State Crime Command’s Drug Squad has officially filed a drug warning upon recent discovery of a batch of light blue, Batman stamped ecstasy tablets that have been tested to match and contain dangerously high levels of psychoactive substances also accredited for several deaths both in Australia and overseas.

Along with the warning, Q-Dance included a list of helpful tips for those planning on attending the upcoming Defqon event, both sober and decidedly not. Reminders included notes about staying hydrated with both water and electrolyte replenishing drinks like Gatorade and Powerade as well as remaining vigilant about other friends and attendees nearby who may be in need of help. In a friendly tone, the notice reads, “We want you to dance and play, enjoy the music and the experience. But please take care of yourselves and each other.” Read the entire post here.
