Space Ibiza celebrates ’25 Years of Perfection’ with new documentary
There’s a reason Space Ibiza is consistently ranked the number one club in the world by everyone from DJ Mag to the International Dance Music Awards: it’s miles ahead of your average clubbing experience. From its sound system to its show production, Space continually outdoes every other venue on the planet.
To celebrate 25 years of clubbing excellence, Space Ibiza has teamed up with DJ Mag for a short documentary. Narrated primarily by Space’s famed resident, Carl Cox, the film covers the history of the club from its humble beginnings as a 300-person after hours venue to its rise to the top of the dance world.
Interspersed throughout the documentary is commentary from various other Space icons such as Nic Fanciulli and Sasha. The owner of the club, Pepe Rosello, even makes a few appearances, dropping his famous description of Space: “the most beautiful people per square meter in the whole world.” Having been there myself this past summer, I’m inclined to agree.
