Underworld celebrates 20 years since ‘Dubnobasswithmyheadman’ with album re-issue
It’s been 20 years since Underworld released dubnobasswithmyheadman and it’s safe to say that since then the dance music landscape has become nearly unrecognizable. Many of today’s EDM fans may not have even been born when the British trio first laid their roots in electronica’s early years, but the music that many of us listen to today can be traced back to their vast catalog. Pioneers in their own right, Underworld influenced the electronic zeitgeist that has since mutated into the EDM of 2014. To commemorate two decades of hallucinogenic aural stimuli, Underworld has re-issued the groundbreaking dubnobasswithmyheadman, including a never before released live version of “Mmm… Skyscraper I Love You” due out October 7 on UME.
Sit back, relax, and take a proper trip down the rabbit hole — but don’t expect a drop, just enchanting electronica the way it was intended.
