Watch This: Sander Van Doorn taps into the madness of Burning Man
Sander Van Doorn went easy on the releases this summer, but more than made up for it in live summer action. As one of the hottest stops (literally) on his schedule for 2014, the Doorn Records ringleader drops a posthumous snapshot of his time spent in Nevada’s now infamous Black Rock Desert for an edition of Burning Man that, against all odds and showers, saw in a landmark year. Dropping ahead of the official release of unprecedented Oliver Heldens’ collaboration “THIS,” Doorn’s afterthoughts from the desert capture the madness, mayhem and creative solvency that have made Burning Man one of the industry’s most eagerly awaited summer gatherings to date for a short yet truly cinematic experience. It shows dance music’s ability to thrive away from the comforts of plush bottle-pushing clubs and Vegas’s infamous VIP culture, adding yet more reasons to scope an appearance for 2015.
