From Germany to London, Chris Avantgarde has subtly channeled considerable attention towards his sound through a sparing string of original material. Without the big name endorsements or exhausted media hype, his music has continued to do most the talking, with a seemingly loud statement now emerging for the last leg of an otherwise quiet year for Christian Vornweg.

As the third release from his own AVANT/GARDE concept, “The Scientist” is a cinematically charged indicator of the kind of caliber of big room that has become welcomingly available in the wake of the sound’s overall saturation. Textured, tense and melodically charged, the track scales emotions and apexes whilst staying true to the core values that his dotted releases have honored to date. We don’t know where Chris Avantgarde has been for the majority of 2014, but if “The Scientist” is anything to go by, the world is sure to be hearing a lot more from Germany’s next sizeable big room contender.
