Curses & DKDS feat. SYF – Trouble (Original Mix)
It’s been over a year since Curses and DKDS teamed up for “Silence,” but they’ve picked up right where they left off on the recently-released “Trouble.” Though the tracks are stylistically different – the former employed elements of acid house, while the latter touches more on deep house – they’re both flawless late-night anthems. On “Trouble,” persistent percussion, SYF‘s lingering vocals, and deep instrumental bursts create an eerie and mysterious atmosphere perfect for next weekend’s Halloween celebrations. But spooky as the vibe may be, it’s still an undeniably infectious song; in fact, both the lyrics on their own and the song as a whole are immediately memorable and thrilling. Curses and DKDS are staples of New York’s thriving late-night community, and “Trouble” is an anthem tailor-made for that scene.
