An old school nod to middle school dances and pre-pubescent slowgrinds, Justin Jay adds some much needed 2014 swing to D4L’s original kitschy hit. All the ridiculous lyrics are left intact by the LA-based talent, but it’s his Casio-keyboard synthwork and inventive, I’m high-as-hell-on-sugar, beat work that makes the track truly shine. It takes a special talent to recognize the magic behind one of 2005’s most Bar Mitzvah-friendly songs and double J handles the task with ease, delivering a goofy but undeniably danceable edit that will burrow into your subconscious whether you like it or not.
