Diplo & Friends present Amtrac special guest mix on BBC 1Xtra
Every Saturday night, Diplo takes over BBC 1Xtra for a full-length hour-long mix. One of the highlights this month was this guest mix by Amtrac. The mix rides strong from start to finish, showcasing a deeper, darker side of Amtrac than what fans are accustomed to. Groove is the name of the game here; the mix opens up with Sharam Jey and Night Talk‘s steady beat-pounder ‘The Future’ and proceeds to drop gems like Jesse Rose’s hard and techy remix of Cevin Fisher‘s ‘The Freaks Come Out’ and Slugger‘s edit of Treasure Fingers‘s sexy chic ‘Honey Dip.’ Fans will find several Amtrac tunes and remixes here and there, but the he places a large part of the focus on other producers’ work.
