EmazingLights and iHeartRaves breaks $8 million mark, becomes one of the fastest-growing private companies in America
Brian Lim is not your average 27-year old. In fact, he is the founder of EmazingLights and iHeartRaves and has danced his way to millions since his girlfriend, now fiancee, introduced him to “gloving” in 2010. Yes, the company that began producing white gloves with LED fingertips, most will have earned close to $8 million in 2014, and Lim projects a $4 million increase in 2015 alone. Not to mention Lim and Emazing Lights ranked at No. 189 in Inc. Magazine’s 5,000 list – a roster of the “fastest-growing private companies in America.”
Lim hasn’t always been rolling in the dough, however. He began with a mere $100 to create the first prototype glove, eventually evolving his company into a 43-employee, multimillion dollar business. Along with iHeartRaves, the popular festival fashion website, EmazingLights has garnered over $16.5 million in revenue – only enhancing the young man’s worth as a successful entrepreneur.
“I’m very lucky that gloving has had a lot of passionate people in it, so it wasn’t hard to find passionate people to work with,” Lim commented. “We grew from nothing, so we all learned together, doing 80 to 100 hours a week. And we just kept slowly growing until we are at this point today.”
