HARD Day of the Dead wants your GoPro footage, announce ‘Capture This’ contest
Thousands of eager fans will be flocking to the Los Angeles Fairplex this weekend for HARD‘s annual Day of the Dead celebration, ready two days of festival madness. With HARD testing out a new venue for its notoriously out-of-bounds productions, the biggest Day of the Dead edition is nearly underway, promising an amazing experience that fans won’t soon forget. Thankfully, rather than fans having to commit the excitement to memory, or unsuccessfully attempting to capture the event’s grandeur on cell phone cameras, HARD is asking fans to bring along their GoPro cameras to catch the full festival effect, and prepare to share it with the world.
Day of the Dead will be running the ‘Capture This’ contest for the duration of the festival where fans are being encouraged to submit five-minute videos detailing their individual festival experiences. Moreover, this particular festival is trying out a handful of new things, the likes of which will probably make for some fantastic homemade footage. From the RL Grime-curated Void Stage, to Claude Vonstroke‘s barbecue bash, deep-house enigma Zhu making his stateside debut, to the barrage of spirited costumes and painted faces packing the Fairplex this weekend, bring your GoPro along to capture it all.
Fans are being asked to submit their 5-minute videos to remixes@hardfest.com, and one grand prize winner will be chosen to receive the ultimate HARD package. The video crowned the weekend’s best will have their footage published on HARD’s Youtube channel for everyone to see, along with VIP tickets to 2015’s HARD Summer installment, as well as a brand new GoPro Hero 4.
