Skrillex tour documentary due to air mid-October during Austin City Limits
There is no doubting that Skrillex puts on one of the most intricately executed, high octane live shows in the world. Anyone who’s seen a Skrillex shows knows the feeling. From the marquee festival performances at the likes of Coachella and Governor’s Ball to a double-header affair at Colorado’s Red Rocks Amphitheater, the infamous Mothership Tour took this past summer by storm. Featuring Skrillex and his thick crew of supporting acts, the Mothership Tour brought Skrillex to fans atop a laser-armed, 25-foot spaceship, in one of the most ambitious live dance music acts around today. In tandem with his forthcoming performance at Austin City Limits later this month, the OWSLA head honcho is dropping a short documentary detailing each step in the highly collaborative creative process of bringing the Mothership to life.
Produced by Red Bull Media House, Let’s Build A Spaceship: Skrillex Mothership Tour 2014 gives fans an inside look at what the LA-based superstar and his top-notch circle of artistic teammates put into putting on one of the most in demand shows of the year night after night. Immediately following his streaming performance at ACL on October 11th, the mini-doc will be available to stream exclusively via Red Bull TV. Available on nearly all digital media streaming platforms, Let’s Build A Spaceship takes fans deeper into the work behind the Mothership experience.
