Sony/ATV and Chainsmokers manager launch Selector Songs; a joint venture music publishing company
Sony/ATV Music Publishing alongside Adam Alpert, the Chainsmokers manager, have launched a joint venture music publishing company called Selector Songs. The Chainsmokers have already cut a publishing deal with Sony/ATV and the deal comes right after Alpert announced the formation of Disruptor Records a joint venture record label with Sony Music Entertainment. Alpert also has his own management company called Disruptor Management and has been in the entertainment game since 2009.
“Selector Songs will be both a home for the most exciting and established producers, songwriters, and musicians as well as an incubator for the burgeoning talent of the future,” Alpert said in a statement. “Rounding out the one-stop shop of Disruptor Management and Disruptor Records, Selector Songs will focus on long-term artist development and modern recipes for success.”
