Wu-Tang Clan – C.R.E.A.M. (DJ Green Lantern Remix)
It is possible that you first heard his name when you attended 2014’s The Trifecta Tour composed of DJ Green Lantern, DJ Sliink and TWRK, or perhaps you’ve been a devoted fan since the early 2000s when James D’Agostino first got his foot in the door. Having dabbled with both electronic music and hip hop for years now, Green Lantern has mastered his hand at uniting the two genres – most recently with his remix of Wu-Tang’s “C.R.E.A.M.” A more alternative opening quickly transitions into rapid builds, crashing like waves in the form of gritty synth structures, boisterous instrumentals and 808s. In playing up the 90s old school rap song and offering Wu-Tang’s original work a modernized face, Green Lantern’s latest twist takes listeners on a musical expedition far more vibrant and poppy than its original.
