In an article run earlier today in the New York Post, Paris Hilton revealed that she makes over $1 million for every gig of her falsified DJ career. Regardless of what she can charge, the real issue that sent EDM fans and artists ablaze was her presumptuous attitude towards a skill set she clearly completely lacks. “I worked hard,” she is quoted as telling the NYP. The oft-outspoken and always on point deadmau5 took the time to write a reply to Paris, at first welcoming her to ‘our party’ before telling her to get back in her go kart.

Referencing a time when he met the heiress in Vegas, Joel commented “I could see she was having a fun time, liked the music, and just wanted to be a part of it all… so of course, why not… even I couldn’t hate on that.” A fair point, and one that even the most pretentious dance music fans can appreciate. Not everyone got into the music when it was an underground phenomena, but it makes them no less a fan of the genre to date.

The issue, he considers, is that his interest in F1 Racing in no way makes him a race car driver and her interest in dance music in no way makes her a DJ. Those drivers, like DJs, have spent their entire lives practicing and honing their craft. “There’s being involved / enthusiastic about something… and then theres just being a straight up ass,” he writes in his Tumblr post titled Go Karts.

“I never in a million years would have the balls to encroach on their scene, and consider myself a professional… enter their marketplace, and profit. That’s just insulting as fuck.”

“Please, get the fuck back in your go kart. No need to prove that you found someone stupid enough to consider paying you a million dollars for something the world knows you aren’t… because here’s what you actually are to everyone who knows better.. ticket sales. nothing more.”
