Alesso dishes out info about his future album, favorite artists, and personal hero on Reddit AMA
The famous Swede whose hit, “Heroes” with Tove Lo is currently taking the world by storm, took an hour out of his day to answer fan questions on a Reddit AMA. Right after two intimate concerts for charity as part of Chime for Change, Alesso shared details about his upcoming album, offered some tips to aspiring DJs, and gave his opinion about ghost DJing and the mainstream versus underground debate. Chime for Change rose over $50,000 and is just one way that Alesso has been living up to his own promise to “uplift, inspire, and brighten the electronic landscape of music.” “Heroes” is one example of an Alesso creation made with that goal in mind and when it comes to his own hero, Alesso was quick to say it’s his father. The Ingrosso-protégé turned success story also told fans that for his new album he plans to include his highly anticipated Nillionaire song, and also promises to extend across genres beyond his electronic roots. When he’s not working on new songs or listening to other electronic artists like Flume, Alesso says he’s a fan of alternative music. He also enjoys Michael Jackson’s hits of the 80s, London Grammar, and, this may come as no surprise, he’s a huge fan of Coldplay. Someday Alesso hopes to work with Chris Martin.
