Dancing Astronaut presents Axis episode 128: Mixed by Solidisco
November’s first Axis mix formally welcomes Solidisco into the Dancing Astronaut family. Unwavering from their known repertoire, the New York duo’s hour mix swings through a sweep of favored and powerfully groovy tunes – demanding attention from the very first instant with an explosion of jazzy horn work.
The welcomed surprise of Episode 128 is the “scary” amount of never before heard remixes and ID tracks that the two have included: a “Crystal Lover” bootleg, the first ever premiere of Solidisco’s “Just Another Faded Night” with ZHU, and a remix of Duke Dumont’s “I Got U” jokingly named the ‘How-Did-This-Never-Get-Released Remix’ are only a few to be revealed within the mix. Alongside the previously unheard remixes joins two IDs that jump along seamlessly with Solidisco’s persistent disco-laced signature. Until Solidisco’s hotbed of unreleased gems receives an official release, the only place to hear them is right here on Axis Radio.
