Listen to David Guetta’s Afrojack and Nicki Minaj collaboration ‘Hey Mama’
David Guetta’s forthcoming album is shaping up to distant in sound from its predecessor — look on further than lead single “Dangerous” or Guetta’s own promise to deliver “nothing like what I’ve done in the past.” Nearly one week out from release, the track listing alone is a glimpse into where fans will hear differences, as Guetta welcomes a handful of new collaborators. Returning for another round, however, Nicki Minaj appears in attempt to recreate the magic of “Turn Me On.”
This time Guetta and Nicki link up for “Hey Mama,” with Afrojack also joining in on the production end. Surfacing is a 90-second snippet of the record, leaving much to be desired but offering enough for a sense of the full project; edgier hip-hop verses clashing against anthemic pop hooks from Minaj, and a chemistry between David and Afrojack unlike that of their previous collaborations.
Listen will be released on November 21st with featured artists John Legend, Sia, Ryan Tedder, Nicki Minaj, and more.
