Paul Oakenfold – Touch Me (Rodg Chill Mix)
If Volume 1 of Armada Sunset left you itching for more, you won’t be disappointed by the second installment in the series. Volume 2 offers two discs with two distinct personalities – the first focuses on a more lounge-friendly down-tempo sound while the second slowly but steadily ups the power for a more club-ready track flow. While there are plenty of dance floor weapons in the latter, this remix of Paul Oakenfold’s ‘Touch Me’ is undoubtedly one of the brighter standout gems. Dutch producer Rodg‘s ‘Chill Mix’ of the classic tune opts for a slower, more mellow vibe and succeeds with flying colors. Here, the original’s iconic vocals drift in to us from across a haunting, atmospheric sound scape, lending the track a shadowy and mysterious allure.
