Pegboard Nerds unleash ‘The Uncaged’ remix package

Scandinavia’s heavyweight duo, Pegboard Nerds, decided to gift fans today with a free remix package titled The Uncaged to say thank you for the support on The Uncaged Tour. Releasing the four reworks via Monstercat, the duo have called upon the talents of Dani Deahl, Snavs, and Toby Green to spawn a hurricane of trap, dubstep, electro, and hardstyle-inspired remixes. Pegboard Nerds crossed over into the trap-sphere with their two originals, and the remix package maintains the same theme while infusing the styles of the other young producers.

To kick-off the package, Snavs and Toby Green attack the Nerds’ “Here It Comes,” elevating a filthy trap breakdown with snarling electro synths and stabbing dubstep elements. Next, Dani Deahl reimagines “BADBOI,” intensifying the reggae elements and saw synths to give the original a fuel-injected boost. Snavs decided one remix wasn’t enough and went solo for a second cameo on the EP to take on “BADBOI” as well. The Danish producer leaves the original melody and trap breakdown intact but upgrades the drop with a vicious, percussive burst designed for festival crowds. Finally, Pegboard Nerds treat fans with their own VIP rework of “BADBOI,” delicately refining the track’s original arrangement for a quick refresh.

The remix package for The Uncaged epitomizes the madness that Pegboard Nerds brought to cities this fall on their tour as well as their continual hunger to change the landscape of all things heavy.
