Rustie unleashed “Slasherr” to an anxious world of admirers in March of this year, and as somewhat of a follow-up to his unforgettable 2012 Essential Mix, the bass and synth heavy, compressed melodic, all-out smasher that gives a nod to bass, dubstep, hip-hop, and even a bit of house. The 21-year-old Flume has given the track a boost, maintaining the core element of the record but adding in a totally fitting pitched up vocal track that could be found in anything from a Timbaland song to a something from UK dubstep circa 2006.
