Equipped with a catchy hook and an infectious, foot-tapping pop melody, it comes as no surprise that A-Trak’s most recent “Push” is The Chainsmokers‘ latest remix venture. The NYC duo — known for “#SELFIE,” but actually rooted in remix works — take a progressive translation with their rendition of “Push,” choicely leaving behind the original’s insistent piano lines and instead, introduce a subtle lift of progressive chords in replacement. Though a departure from A-Trak’s more Duck Sauce-reminiscent electro pop sound, guest vocalist Andrew Wyatt of Miike Snow remains at the forefront of the new, reworked “Push.”
