Baauer officially releases his edit of What So Not & RL Grime’s ‘Tell Me’
RL Grime took North America by storm with his Void album and subsequent tour. Along the way, new edits of classic tracks began to hit the internet due to eager fans recording anything that sounded unfamiliar. Thankfully, from these recordings, it was revealed that Baauer formed an edit of the instant classic collaboration with What So Not, “Tell Me.” The track is not so much a far reaching departure from the original but more of an edit, as Baauer reworks the guttural drop with slicing techniques, shifting around the sounds that brought the original production to life.
While fans have been passing around remakes of the elusive track, Baauer himself has gifted fans with the official version via a free download on SoundCloud. Act quickly, though — the download is said to only be available for 48 hours. The clock is ticking.
