DA Premiere: Cause & Affect – Stampede (Original Mix)

Chris Lorenzo and Kane, known together as Cause & Affect, represent some of the grooviest garage and house emanating from the UK right now. The DJ/producer pair have a way with boisterous, bubbling basslines and shuffle-primed synth arrangements, and their latest track perfectly rounds together the best of their fresh sound. Cropped straight out of OWSLA‘s upcoming Eggnog Vol. 1 compilation, we have Cause & Affect’s “Stampede” for our latest premiere.

The new original is a mean, stomping dancefloor number that takes looping appeal to the next level as it’s clearly designed for one thing; to make you move your feet. The reverberating bass gushes are accentuated by a sharp whipping and a subtly gnawing growl, making “Stampede” a bumping selection that falls somewhere outside our normal perception of house and into a space of unclassified funkiness.

Cause & Affect’s newest is an early treat off of OWSLA’s forthcoming holiday bonus offering to fans, rounding together tunes by everyone from Skrillex to What So Not, Etnik to Alex Metric. The full compilation is due on December 16, but for now, check your low-end and prepare for “Stampede.”
