DA Premiere: Skrillex ft. Diplo, CL & G-Dragon – Dirty Vibe (Jack Beats Rework)
Skrillex made this year his. A galaxy-wide thrill ride debut album kicked 2014 into high gear, followed by a non-stop touring conquest, and three packed remix EPs of some of Recess’s best jams. The Dirty Vibe Remixes EP will cap it all off on a high note, as remixes of Skrillex and Diplo‘s K-Popping hip-hop hybrid begin to surface from a talented roster of producers. The latest to reach the wire comes as a head-spinning rework by none other than OWSLA‘s deep bass representatives Jack Beats.
The UK-bred duo get right down to business and pull “Dirty Vibe” down from its original 160-bpm to a dance floor tempo, marking their rework with a hair-raising, mischievous intro. The track then winds through some looping clips of CL and G-Dragon’s vocals, before it spirals down into a thumping, tribal-inspired break. Hypnotically spastic sample spits of the rapper pair’s lyrical attack come through like rolling punches as the rework rearranges “Dirty Vibe” into shuffle-primed dance floor weapon.
