Aussie collective Human Movement has the taste of sinister house reckoning on its lips at the final hurdle of 2014. Having landed their first formal single with Exposure last month, their latest lands reassuringly far of the national comfort zone once again. Compared to thuggish lead bender “Shake,” the industrial flare and murkier undertones of “To Be” sounds like coming of age house whipped with the hallmarks of unapologetic techno. It’s not the amalgamation we were expecting from a nation polishing its stance on the tropical and practicing up for the summer ahead, but Human Movement are a musical gesticulation not be ignored in the coming year.
