Mat Zo – Like It Used To be (Extended Instrumental)
Last year, Mat Zo caught the entire dance community off guard with his full-length debut, Damage Control. When we spoke to Zohar over a year ago about the LP, he mentioned he had created various versions of each track, yet thus far, these VIPs have gone largely absent. Letting the public in for a peak inside the Damage Control vault, however, Zo has uploaded an extended instrumental version of “Like It Used To Be.”
While the original track is but 60 seconds, Mat’s new rendition brings five minutes of retro-inspired funk to the table. It also happens to be Mat’s favorite off the album. Last November, he told us: ‘”Like It Used To Be’ reminds me of a time in my life when I was content and didn’t have anything to worry about.” With this new extended version in mind, hopefully this is the beginning of more Damage Control VIPs to come.
