An official remix package of Skrillex and Diplo’s ‘Dirty Vibe’ is on the way
Skrillex‘s Recess has turned out to be more like a field day since its release back in March. It was a handful of brand new, instant-classic Skrillex jams that came nearly out of nowhere. Some cuts from Sonny’s first full-length album have churned out some of the year’s biggest remixes, with two whole EPs dedicated solely to “Recess,” “Ragga Bomb” and “Ease My Mind” renditions from a wide variety of producers across dance music that also came this year. Zomboy and Skrillex together, GTA, Jai Wolf, and Valentino Khan among a deep crew of others have all stepped to the plate this year to remix some of Skrill’s best work. Now a third remix collection is due to hit the wire, this time the undertaking is Skrillex and Diplo‘s K-Pop killer “Dirty Vibe” alongside G-Dragon and CL.
The hip-hop infused trap pushing hell-raiser off the album is now due to be flipped by DJ Snake and Aazar, Habstrakt, Ricky Remedy, and OWSLA representatives Jack Beats. DJ Snake posted the artwork for the upcoming rework collection on Instagram earlier, concisely captioning the cover art with a release date, “December 16th.”
OWSLA’s commander-in-chief put together a real contender for dance music’s album of the year, but with the steady push of impressive remix efforts all year long, Recess’ might not ever end. And that’s just fine.
