OWSLA delivers holiday cheer with first ever ‘EGGNOG’ compilation
There are two simple things that make the holiday season so wonderful: the feeling that accompanies giving, and the abundance of eggnog at holiday parties. And for those who aren’t usually down with the nutty holiday libation, you haven’t tried OWSLA‘s brew yet. In conjunction with their annual Nestivus drive, OWSLA is dropping EGGNOG Vol. 1, bringing a heaping dose of holiday spirit with a special opportunity for some genuine philanthropy.
Teeming with some of the year’s biggest tracks from one of dance music’s most decorated imprints, EGGNOG rounds together some of OWSLA’s best jams of the year and sprinkles in a few new cuts on top. Packing together 28 tracks from the likes of label heavyweights such as What So Not, The M Machine, David Heartbreak, and Alex Metric, the compilation also features newcomers Trollphace, Carmada, Valentino Khan, and a few wild cards like Mija and Ghastly. And what OWSLA compilation would be complete without some of the head honcho’s best tracks of the year? Tying everything together, Skrillex contributes his own originals and Jack Ü treats to sweeten the deal on the inaugural serving of EGGNOG.
Ultimately, the compilation embodies everything the holiday season is about. Fans have the option to either buy the compilation on iTunes or purchase it as part of the label’s annual Nestivus drive where fans can grab a handful of other free giveaways. Proceeds from purchases of the compilation benefit Bridges For Music’s initiative to build the Langa Music School in Capetown, South Africa.
