Seiho is doing to the world of glitch what Japanese culture has historically done across the globe: blowing minds in the most creative way possible. The Osaka-based talent with a proven knack for the warped and soulful had a damn good year, but is capping it with a brand new original that makes “Double Bed” sound like a mere warm up from the next-generation contender.

“Taboo” finds a middle ground between everything that has been right with the sound in 2014. It borrows from more tempered ranks whilst holding beautiful form and structure, still finding time to go all-out in a spree of chaotic breakdowns and blissful melodic interventions. The 21^st century market is spoilt for choice, but Seiho continues to craft tunes capable of stopping us in our tracks and wonder where this creatively liberated sound is going next.
