The original home to the likes of Krewella, the Pegboard Nerds, and Vicetone, Monstercat does not receive all the press it should for the caliber of talent that is showcased on the Canadian imprint. One of it’s last releases of 2014, Tristam‘s single “My Friend,” has all the elements a great melodic dubstep song needs – emotional vocals, poignant percussion work, and a vibey elevating chorus. The mysterious producer has been a Monstercat regular and this track exhibits exactly why.
