Aristofreeks feat. Kathy Sledge – Keep It Movin’ (Original Mix + Remixes)

Just like everything in popular culture, it seems disco-fueled house music is making an official comeback and nobody understands it quite like Aristofreeks. Composed of DMX mixing championship finalist Max Martire and self-proclaimed “musical chameleon” Shanti Matkin, the Ibiza-based outfit has been making waves in the Balearic music scene since the late 1980s. Over two decades after the launch of their musical career, the duo brings us a new peak hours gem called “Keep It Movin’,” featuring the vocals of the legendary Kathy Sledge, the youngest member of the music group Sister Sledge. The classic disco mover comes accompanied by a more bass-heavy club mix and a slightly groovier big room mix. Emphasizing percussion and drums, the tribal mix nods its head to after-hours dancing in Space’s legendary Terrace room, while renown remix artist Eric Kupper takes the tune to the runway with his chic and buoyant club rendition. All of the remixes are out now on Beatport via Pacific Electronic Music.
