Dear David – I’ve Been Waiting (Umek & Mike Vale Remix)
Only ten releases have arrived courtesy of ICONS Music since the label’s inauguration in May of 2014, but those releases have each amassed a vast list of accomplishments. One such original mix was Dear David‘s “I’ve Been Waiting” and now, almost six months after it was released, the first official remix has arrived. Being taken for a tech house spin by Slovenian heavyweights UMEK and Mike Vale, their rendition utilizes a bevy of drums that perfectly contrast the vocal-driven feel of the original. While ICONS Music’s discography may still be in its infancy, the label’s penchant for unveiling artists and heavy-hitting remix packages will be a force to be reckoned with if 2015 commences with this much stamina.
