Dilby – Tears (Original Mix)
Hot off Mother Recordings is Dilby’s “Tears,” a funky, swinging deep house jam that bounces along from start to finish at 123 BPM. A simple vocal sample gives listeners something to sing along to, but the rumbling bassline is the real star of the show in this release. Piano chords build the suspense of the tune and lend it a 1970’s Studio 54 feel before the song drops into a big, booming groove. New Zealand-based producer Dilby “lives and breathes house”, and it’s absolutely reflected in this dance floor gem. It’s the title track of Dilby’s Tears EP, which also features the melancholy “U Used Me” featuring Kristina Sheli.
