Echostage attendee in critical condition after falling off balcony
Yesterday’s MEGA DC Massive show at Echostage, featuring Flux Pavilion, Slander and Yellow Claw as headliners, ended abruptly after an attendee fell from the second-floor balcony area, sustaining serious head injuries. The sight was gruesome, as pools of blood could supposedly be seen forming around the fallen concert-goer before EMTs and the police arrived to the scene. While many social media posts allege the young man jumped from the balcony as a result of drug use, a user claiming to be the sister of the victim insisted on Twitter that he fell, and urged users to stop perpetuating rumors. No official report has been presented to the public at this time. Flux Pavilion, who was not able to perform, tweeted: ‘sending love out to DC, it sucks that I couldn’t play but my thoughts are with the kid in critical condition. Wishing him some strength.’
