Hotel Garuda, aka Candle Weather and Manila Killa, made their brand known last year through numerous deep house remixes (not to mention earning a spot on our 25 Artists to Watch in 2015 list). While normally known for a lighter style of deep house, the DC/LA duo channel their future sound abilities for their first remix of the new year of Full Crate x Mar’s “Nobody Else.” Leaving the original’s heart-yanking vocals intact, Hotel Garuda reinforce the voices with bouncing synth chords before flaunting a futuristic bass wobble that has a Tchami-styled flair to it. This type of remix isn’t exactly what we would’ve expected as Hotel Garuda’s first release, but it definitely makes a bold statement as to the duo’s adaptability.
