Jack Ü – Take Ü There (L D R U Remix)

In 2014, the dance music scene saw a meteoric rise of talent from the country down under. Australian power players such as Flume, Knife Party, and Chet Faker represented their home country by making waves with massive releases one after another, but they also provided a jumping off point for young Aussie producers to make their way into the growing US scene. Future bass newcomer, L D R U, has been tirelessly working away at his craft over the past year and has finally been put into the spotlight by none other than Jack Ü with a chance to remix their hit, “Take Ü There.”

After receiving ungodly amounts of support for their first track as a duo, Skrillex and Diplo ended the year by bringing on Zeds Dead, Tchami, TJR, Vindata, Netsky, Tujamo, and Felix Cartal for a versatile remix package of the single. If this wasn’t enough, Skrillex’s OWSLA imprint released L D R U’s remix on their SoundCloud page to add another rendition of the main stage banger to the list. Drawing inspiration from fellow countryman Flume’s signature sound, L D R U leaves Kiesza’s recognizable vocals intact while blending bounce and bass with tropical elements to create a future bass smash. This remix stands out for the Australian producer’s ability to create a summer-inspired nature while keeping the gritty drop of the original intact.
