The Prodigy drops album opener ‘The Day Is My Enemy’
The Prodigy have had a lot to say about the current state of affairs in electronic music, setting the tone for their long anticipated return as a British powerhouse effort to set the record straight for 2015. The befittingly titled “Nasty” was a noisy yet notably hollow attempt at awakening enroute to The Day Is My Enemy, but a surprise installment from the dysfunctional outfit indicates further teeth to their next full-length offering.
As the second single from the album, its namesake refocuses their noisy and industrial demeanor towards a festival primed extension of their signature sound. It makes for a far more convincing statement than its predecessor, hitting home on that anarchic presence that fans across the globe will be longing to see in full swing come March 30.
